SandeshApp ("we", "our", "us") provides private messaging at sandeshapp.in (and related app surfaces). This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Phone number — used to create your account and sign you in via SMS verification.
- Profile information — display name, profile photo, and optional "about" text you choose to add.
- Messages and media — text messages, photos, voice notes, files, and other content you send in chats.
- Device tokens — if you enable push notifications, we store an FCM token to deliver alerts.
- Usage data — basic technical logs (e.g. errors, delivery status) needed to operate the service.
How we use your information
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Deliver messages, calls, and notifications to you and your contacts.
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. Message content is shared only with participants in a chat. We use service providers (Firebase/Google Cloud, Vercel) to host and operate the app.
Data retention
We keep your account and messages while your account is active. You may request account deletion — see our Delete account page.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to backend systems is restricted. No system is 100% secure; please use SandeshApp only with people you trust.
Children
SandeshApp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
