Delete your account

You can delete your SandeshApp account and associated personal data directly in the app at sandeshapp.in. This action is permanent.

Delete in the app

1. Open SandeshApp and sign in.
2. Tap your profile in the sidebar.
3. Scroll to Delete account, type DELETE, and confirm.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (name, photo, about, phone number reference).
• Push notification tokens and app settings.
• Your saved contacts and privacy preferences.
• Your profile photo stored in Sandesh.
• Your membership in chats (you are removed from participant lists).
• Chats where you were the only remaining member, including their messages and media.
• Your sign-in credentials (Firebase Authentication).

What may remain

Messages you sent in chats that still have other participants may remain visible to them (similar to other messaging apps). Your name in those chats will appear as "Deleted account". Shared media in those chats may persist until other participants clear the chat or content expires based on chat settings.

Installed on your phone?

Removing Sandesh from your home screen does not delete your account. Use the in-app delete flow above, or contact support if you cannot access your account.
